Harpegnathos venator is a very beautiful looking ant from Asia, they are prolific hunters with amazing eyesight they will stalk and hunt their prey and raise and wag their gaster when they have seen prey, they will grab prey in their jaws and sting to paralyse them. They can survive without a queen as a worker can be a gamergate and fill the role of the queen. A truly beautiful demonstration of evolution.

They remind many people of bull ants and tend to be a lot cheaper. I really enjoy the visual aspect of this species and they are even able to follow your hand through a nest of container. The way they interact and actively stalk their prey is truly amazing.

They tend to do well in y-tong or natural set ups and they need access to substrate so their brood can spin their cocoons. When they have brood, they tend to eat a lot more food.

24 hour tracked or next day delivery service is included in the price for this species.
