Our leaf cutters ants are collected with ethics on the forefront of our agenda. Experts speak to local farmers in the country of origin and strike a deal with them in which they mark out the areas where the leaf cutter ant colonies are on their land and before they are due to spray their land with pesticides to kill most insects the experts come along before this process and collect the colonies up and pay the farmers a fair share for their work as well as saving the colonies from destruction. The colonies are then shipped back to the UK with both Export and Import permits obtained and undergo inspection by customs and pass our experts facility. The ants are quarantined for two weeks or more weeks then are shipped to our facility in which our experienced leaf cutter keeper quarantined for a further 7 days and ready for shipping! Now you know the process of our leaf cutter supply chain! I look forward to welcoming you to the leaf cutter team!
