Solenopsis Invicta are native to south America but have come successfully distributed throughout most of the world apart from Europe due to the cold climate. colonies can form large mounds and have varying caste of workers ranging from minor workers to majour workers with big heads. these ants are capabable of building rafts during periods of water level rising and can travel along rivers via this route. this species like most Solenopsis are fast growing and can have many thousands of workers.
