The Hexacore Outworld is our Medium-format foraging arena, designed for expanding colonies with hundreds to a thousand workers. It provides generous space for natural exploration and foraging behaviour—making it especially exciting for ant keepers to observe in action.
Perfect for those scaling up their setup, the Hexacore can also be purchased as part of a bundle with the matching Medium Nest, offering a slightly reduced price for a complete modular habitat system.

Assembly Guide
We recommend following our Vertex assembly video, we have added it in our images on this product page, as the construction method is very similar.
To assemble:
Start with the base and carefully remove all protective film from acrylic parts 
Identify the two longer and two shorter side panels Marked 2 and 1 respectively 
Attach the two shorter panels to shorter sides of the base 
Repeat with the two longer panels 
Ensure all panels sit flush with no gaps before tightening 
Secure screws firmly, but do not overtighten 
Once the frame is complete:
Place the top frame onto the structure and screw it into place 
Fit the first-lip lid on top of the frame and secure it with screws 
Remove protective film from the ventilated acrylic lid panel 
Attach the second lip frame to the lid and install the handle (facing outward) 
Finish by placing the second lip lid on top 
Refer to product images for correct final orientation and assembly confirmation.
Important Note
One hex key is supplied per order, not per individual unit.
Example: ordering two nests (or a nest and outworld) includes one hex key total.
